National Archery in Schools Program Certification, November 8, 2023, 1:00-5:00

NASP^® is an activity that doesn’t discriminate based on popularity, athletic skill, gender, size, or academic ability. It’s a different kind of team sport. It’s open to any student. Its biggest supporters are professional educators. Teams come together around one thing: Archery.

The National Archery in the Schools Program is an in-school program aimed at improving educational performance among students in grades 4th – 12th. And through it, students are learning focus, self-control, discipline, patience, and the life lessons required to be successful in the classroom and in life.

Instructor Training was developed so teachers in every participating school could be certified to present NASP^® lessons that are safe for students, instructors, bystanders, and the facility. Teachers will be certified as NASP^® Basic Archery Instructors (BAI – 8 hours).

This is a free workshop!

Registration Instructions for the 2023 KAHPERD Convention

Complete your online registration by clicking the registration in the box below or click on the registration link on the second page. You may receive additional hours of college credit for this course if you choose to apply it in your classroom and show impact (you have up to a year to complete all five components, parts 2-5)! You also have the choice of ONLY requesting credit for attending the workshop and by completing the required assignments. Three Requirements for 1 credit: Attend the 2023 KAHPERD Convention, register for CE Credit with MNU, and submit a completed STAR Assignment, part one only.

You must register and submit your assignment on or before November 30, 2023. Registration is open NOW and the last day to register is November 30, 2023.

1. Download the STAR assignment template, here.

2. Complete the information at the top of the form: course name, EDCI #, and personal information.

3. Complete the assignment on this template and save it to your computer. Note: Part 1 is required, and parts 2-5 are optional for additional credit.

Fall 2023 convention is scheduled for November 9-10, 2023 at Century II in Wichita.
