Kansas Kids Fitness Day

Dear Members,

We are excited to invite your school to host a Kansas Kids Fitness Day (KKFD) event this coming spring!

Kansas Kids Fitness Day is a statewide initiative that encourages students to get active, make healthy choices, and celebrate the importance of lifelong fitness. Each year, schools across Kansas come together to provide a fun, active day of movement and wellness for students.

We are looking for schools that are already hosting or willing to host an event this year:

  • Organize and lead a day of physical activity for your students (and possibly neighboring schools).
  • Celebrate health, teamwork, safety, and movement through fun games, relays, and fitness stations.

Hosting is a wonderful opportunity to highlight your school’s commitment to student wellness and community engagement.

If your school is interested in hosting or learning more, please review the following guide on how to host an event.  KKFD Event Guide

If you school already plans to host an event please fill out the following form: KKFD Event Form

Together, we can make Kansas Kids Fitness Day 2026 our most active and inspiring year yet!

Thank you for supporting health and wellness for Kansas youth.

With appreciation,

Tara Yost, Elmont Elementary
